Acute Rehabilitation

Cheyenne Regional's Acute Rehabilitation unit provides an intensive inpatient program to enable people who have experienced a major injury, disorder or illness to regain the skills needed to reach a level of independence. Acute rehabilitation covers everything from regaining the ability to walk after an amputation to safely taking daily medications after a serious illness.
Acute rehabilitation may be appropriate for patients who have experienced multiple trauma injuries, post-surgical conditions, neurological disorders and cardiopulmonary conditions.
Each patient is assigned to a personal rehabilitation care team that focuses on strengthening abilities and boosting confidence. Our goal is to help patients perform daily tasks, from getting out of bed in the morning to tying their shoes.
