Labor and Delivery

The addition of a new member to your family brings feelings of excitement and joy. Your journey through pregnancy and delivery is individualized to meet the needs of you and your family. Our goal is to prepare expectant parents for pregnancy and childbirth.

Mothers begin their experience on the Labor & Delivery unit. You will labor, deliver and recover on this unit. Our operating room suite, located in our unit, is for mothers needing cesarean sections.

It is important to bond during the immediate postpartum period. Therefore, your infant remains with you in your room while the nursing staff continues to care for the new baby.

After your recovery is completed, you will be transferred to the Mother & Baby unit, which is on the same floor as Labor & Delivery.
